Orchids are beautiful   flowers    that add an extra touch to the house or our balcony. For many, caring for plants is a true passion, while for others it is a profession. However, it is not always easy to take care of it,    whether    due to the difficulty of the plant, the climate or certain diseases.

When a flower like    an orchid    has a good soil environment and a good dose of nutrients, the plant will grow much stronger and we will definitely see much more striking flowering. Obviously, for green lovers, saying that a    good fertilizer    helps in the mission is trivial. However, it is not so obvious. In fact, it can happen that something goes wrong, but there is a remedy that few people know about.

How to take care of an orchid, just one tablespoon of this natural fertilizer is enough

When we decide to plant many orchids, it is not uncommon to find    rot    on the plant itself or on the leaves, so when we notice this situation we must act immediately. First, the part that is rotting should be   cut off immediately and the pot where the affected orchid is located should be isolated from the others to avoid affecting them as well.

What remedies for a sick orchid?

After removing the rotten part, it is important    to dry    the rotten solution even with absorbent paper and it is very important to remove the residue and isolate it as much as possible. Next, we take a piece of    activated carbon    , made from dry natural firewood. Next, you need to mix the charcoal and turn it into    powder.

Then we will have to spray it on the “wound” of the plant, which will allow it to    heal    faster and prevent the spread of other diseases. In addition, everyone may not know that activated carbon has a    very important sterilization function.   Always use charcoal powder to also sprinkle the base of the plant and    insulate    the pot with this orchid from everything else. Then don’t water for a week.

We can immediately see how the plant will    recover    on its own. This brings us to some very useful tips. We take a    teaspoon of powdered activated charcoal    and mix it with 1 L of water and we will need it to wet the base of the plant. Continuing this at least once a week will help the pH of the substrate prevent other diseases from developing. Another tip is    to immerse    the pot containing the plant in water and charcoal for at least 30 minutes.

What results will we achieve with this practice?

This seems like a very time-consuming process to do, especially at home, but it’s not like that. In fact, if we manage to create this    habit    , our orchids will be much stronger, healthier and more beautiful. Of course, after understanding the process, one wonders what    results    we will get if we follow these tips.

One last step before seeing the real results, it is good to use       charcoal filtered water to wash the leaves of our orchid. All you need is a piece of cotton or paper towels moistened with water and gently wiped over all the leaves. In this way    we will protect    the plant from fungi and insects and the calcium present in the liquid will strengthen the leaf itself.

Finally, we can put what remains of the filtered water in a    diffuser    and use it to spray it all over the plant. In this way we will obtain more strength and beauty from it. Without forgetting that we will keep insects and fungi away. As for the    results,    we will immediately notice that the roots will grow faster and stronger, the orchid will be much more nourished, the flowers will appear strong and bright and more buds will grow on the same stem.
