Homemade Apple Cider Vinegar: Learn How to Recycle Apple Peels and Cores

We take a glass jar with a capacity of about one liter, fill it to the brim with the remains of the apple, both the skin and the core, and add 750 ml of water.

Place a cloth or sheet of paper towel over the opening of the jar and secure it with a rubber band, cover the rest of the jar with foil and let it sit in a warm, dark place for 40 days, a day out of two during the first ten we will mix the content, during the next thirty we will leave it as is.

Once the necessary time has elapsed, using a sieve we filter everything, place the residues on a cloth and, squeezing them, we also remove the absorbed vinegar.

The vinegar is ready, let’s put it in a bottle and use it as we see fit!

Place the leftover apples, the peels of a few bananas and an eggshell in a blender, blend as finely as possible and use immediately, they cannot be stored, to fertilize the plants.

To descale a pan

If we have a pan encrusted with burnt earth, we just have to place some apple peels at the bottom, add a little water and bring to the boil, after a few minutes we will see how the earth dissolves.
