4 home tips to make your plants bloom all year round and prevent them from rotting!

At least once in your life you can buy a beautiful plant , bring it home and watch it languish hopelessly and all the buds fall off.  You have probably wondered why this happens and what you can do to prevent it.

Plants purchased from nurseries or supermarkets will experience large temperature changes when brought home . Exposure to light, changes in nutrients received, temperature and humidity stress the plants and prevent flowering.

Below are four effective tips to keep your plants blooming all year round, so they look healthier,  stronger and more beautiful.

First tip: tea bags

If you are used to drinking tea,  do not throw away used tea bags. They are great allies to fertilize the soil of our plants, especially roses.

Don’t forget to remove the already dried flowers.  This way you can make room for new flowers and continue the process.

Second tip: cinnamon

Take two cinnamon sticks and boil them in water for a few minutes to make a herbal tea. Let it cool before spraying directly on the soil.  Alternatively, you can pour cinnamon powder directly into the soil around the stem of the plant. Cinnamon contains essential nutrients for plants. Apply at least once a week.

Third tip: banana peel and eggshell

These are both nutrient-rich ingredients for plants and of great value in the garden. Mix banana peels with washed eggshells,  add coffee grounds and mix everything together. Pour the solution directly into the soil like compost.

Tip 4: Cloves

Nutrients in the soil are essential for the proper growth and flowering of plants. Cloves are rich in iron and are very useful in the garden.

Place at least 3 or 4 cloves in the soil of the plant.  Watering the plant releases iron into the soil, making the plant healthier and stronger.
