Sodium bicarbonate is an effective auxiliary, capable of blocking the formation of limescale in the washing machine. But be careful, baking soda does not eliminate limescale already present inside the device.

By using baking soda, you can reduce the growth of harmful mold and bacteria. Simply place 250 grams of baking soda in the drum of the washing machine or, alternatively, in the detergent drawer. Start a dry wash by selecting the appropriate program.

One of the qualities of sodium bicarbonate is its whitening power; in fact, it’s a great substitute for bleach. To achieve excellent results, you will need:
- 250 grams of baking soda
- qb of liquid detergent for washing machines (possibly not harmful to the environment).
Place the liquid detergent and baking soda in the corresponding drawer. Turn on the device and when you collect the clothes you will immediately notice the results. It is recommended to introduce the two ingredients separately.

Another property of sodium bicarbonate is to neutralize bad odors. In fact, it can be used for machine washing, hand washing or dry cleaning.
For normal washing in the washing machine, it is recommended to place 25 grams of baking soda in the detergent drawer, to mix with the detergent you usually use.
To wash your hands, you will need to put 4 liters of lukewarm water in a container and add 200 grams of baking soda. Wait the next day before rinsing with plenty of water or washing in the washing machine. If, on the other hand, you prefer dry cleaning, put a little baking soda in a cloth bag. Place the items to be treated and shake carefully.
